Training tailored to your company

In-company trainings

For many years, I am very happy to deliver the training ‘Finance for Non-Financials’ within companies. Telenet, Umicore, Proximus, SD Worx, Worldline, Randstad, Brussels Airlines, Duvel, … they all send their non financials to me to learn about their financial reporting and KPIs.

Because they think it is important that all employees, as of a certain level, are able to have a dialogue with their financial colleagues. People from engineering, R&D, HR, sales, marketing, legal, customer service,…

I’m very happy to welcome them in my training.

Here’s how it works:

Tailored to your company

The advantage of such in-house training? It’s completely tailored to you. Your figures, your reports, your terminology. I conduct the training in English, Dutch or French.

Online

All sessions are online. But online is certainly not boring, promise! My sessions are filled with interaction and dialogue. We do many exercises and cases which the participants prepare in smaller groups in the breakout rooms.

Course material

I believe it’s important to have notes to go back to after the training. All participants receive their Finance is fun-box before the training starts. It’s a beautiful box with the workbook, cases and handy overviews. We deliver at the office or at your home. Easy!

Practical

Everyone is in the game! There is a constant dialogue between me and the participants while dealing with many exercises and cases. That’s why I work with groups of maximum 12 participants. Because we go all out, a session never lasts longer than 3 hours and 15 minutes with a 10-minute break. Normally, 4 sessions are sufficient.

Good news: no previous financial knowledge is needed!

According to the growth within my company, I wanted to understand my figures well. Fortunately, I found Vera Smets. During her training she explained to me very clearly what equity is, how I should read my results and what the difference is between active and passive. In short, a balance sheet has held no secrets for me since that day.

Who is Vera?

Explaining financial information in everyday language, that’s me! Since 1995, Vera Smets has been synonymous with Finance is Fun and I’m very proud of that.
